Spirituality in Islam: What is Sufism? The idea of spirituality in Islam has become one of the most debated, discussed issues in recent times. Covered with discussions without Scholarly guidance, the discourse has seen different conclusions develop and integrate within circles and people. This one day course, first of its kind, aims to unravel and discuss the various key issues with a qualified Jurist of Islam. • What is Tasawwuf? What is Sufism? Is it part of Islam? • Development of Sufism • Classical Sufism vs Modern Sufism: Trends and Transformation • The Concept of Having a Shaykh or Spiritual Guide, is this permissible? • What is a Tareeqa (Spiritual Path) and is adopting one necessary?
